"Fuguihong" porcelain works from Dehua appear in 2009 Belgrade Universiade
On July 12, 2009, the 25th Universiade came to a successful conclusion. As Shenzhen is the host city of the 26th Universiade to be held in 2011, Wang Rong, member of the standing Committee of Guangdong province and the acting mayor of Shenzhen City, went to Belgrade to attend the closing ceremony and took over the FISU flag from the director of the 25TH Universiade organizing committee and FISU President George Killian.
At the dinner party of Shenzhen’s Night which was held in Belgrade on July 11, 2009, the then acting mayor of Shenzhen City Wang Rong solemnly presented the New Plum vase to the director of the Universiade organizing committee and the FISU President George Killian as gifts. This high-temperature red glazed rare porcelain treasure vase was made by Fujian Fuguihong Culture Development Co.,Ltd.
"Fuguihong" porcelain is originated from Dehua Fujian China. Dehua kiln is a famous kiln series in Southern China. Dehua is the birthplace of China's ceramic culture. In history, Dehua in Fujian Province, together with Jingdezhen in Jiangxi Province and Liling in Hunan province were called the top three porcelain cities in ancient China. In recent years,Dehua has been awarded "China's Porcelain Capital" and "China's Ceramic Town."
It is reported that high-temperature red glazed porcelain is one of the rare porcelain treasures in China's ceramic industry. It was successfully developed in 2004 by Xu Shaodong, the artistic director of Fujian Fuguihong Culture Development Co., Ltd.
The happy warm colors of the bright red glazed porcelain gifts happen to be able to express the vitality of the new modern city Shenzhen as well as the theme of the 2011 Shenzhen Universiade, which is “Full of Youth, Fashion, Creativity and Passion”.
